West Broad Street YMCA Collecting
School Supplies
The West Broad Street
YMCA at 1110 May Street
is collecting items to give to
its summer campers to get
them ready for school.
"In the past we have
had a donor who has provid
ed these items for us," says
Deborah Enoch, Program
Director. "But this year the
donor had to say no."
The West Broad Street
YMCA located between
Kayton and Fraiser Homes
serves mostly low income
families.
"We want to give these
kids a head start on school
so that they can go in with
their head held high," says
Enoch.
With over 150 kids in
summer camp the need is
larger than ever.
The Y is looking for
pens, pencils, erasers,
rulers, hand sanitizer, lined
paper, notebooks, calcula
tors, and clear or mesh back
packs.
"Anything you can
think of that a child needs in
school, we need," Enoch
adds.
Donations may be
dropped off anytime at the
West Broad Street YMCA
1110 May Street Savannah,
GA 31415.
