CHURCH NEWS AND OTHER FEATURES
Lonely But Never Alone
Evangelist Rachel Thomas
As I read God's Word
while in a Shut In, I came
across some words that I have
been pondering in my heart
for a long, long time. I only
spoke it out loud to a young
man the other day and I told
him that I was thinking of
writing a book and when I
spoke these words. He lit up
and said YES, he like that
“Lonely, but not Alone.”A
few days later in my shut in
with God, I came across this
scripture as I was reading -
John 16:32.
I thought about how it
was so ponderous in my heart
for many days so I will share
some with you today. As the
days and months go by since
my loving husband, Henton
Thomas passed to go on
ahead; I sit in my empty
house. We had been married
for 53 years and some.
(Smile).
I sit in my empty house
each day at times when my
son goes to work and my
mind goes on Hent. I could
remember his laughter and
his teasing words. I can even
remember how he walked
through the house; then I
would think on the years
before marriage, how he
would tea se me and play
tricks on me, but never a
strong word. I would realize
that even though he's gone, I
am never alone - yes, lonely
but never alone because Jesus
promised never to leave us,
nor forsake us to never leave
us alone and I can feel the
presence of God in the room
and know that He loves me
and cares for me so much.
He is a present help in time s
of trouble.
God calls me into shut
ins with Him and I get into
my room, close the door and
relate with Him. This is my
34th year that He has called
me in - every year some three
or four times a year, from 3 to
19 days -however and when
ever He says so. I know
without a doubt that He is
closer than a brother.
I have had some amaz
ing experiences when I am in
these Shut Ins that only God
can allow these revelations to
happen, and I just love them
all! For example, as I enter
the room, always at sunset
and close the door; some
times immediately He meets
me with the smell of different

"Celebrating 27 Years of
Dedicated Service to The
Lord"
Bishop and Mother Myles A. Latimer
We thank God for Bishop
and Mother Myles A.
Latimer, Founders of
Genesis New Life Apostolic
Faith Churches, Inc.
They have served God's
people faithfully for over 26
years. Our founders are great
leaders and visionaries, they
posses wisdom and under
standing and they are com
passionate. We see Jesus in
them and we know they are
sent by God. Humility beats
in their hearts, and strength
lives in their soul.
They have dedicated
themselves to the service of
the Lord by reaching out to
souls in various parts of the
United States.
Genesis New Life was
chartered on February 6,
1982. The church was bom
on Friday night, August 21,
1987. Since then, Bishop and
Mother Latimer have estab
lished four churches and
other properties at 1901-
1915 East Broad Street,
Savannah, Ga; 313 Floyd
Street, Sandersville, GA;
315, 317, 319 and 321 South
Heald Street, Wilmington
DE, and last but not least our
new church built from the
ground-up, established on
19.1 acres of land at 4573
Grady Mertz Road, Tennille,
GA.
The Lord has not only
blessed the ministry of
Genesis New Life Churches
and properties through
Bishop and Mother Latimer
but he has also blessed the
saints.
Our leaders always say,
"But seek ye first the king
dom of God, and his right
eousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you,
Matthew 6:33.
Jesus told him every
body that stick with me will
be blessed as I am blessed.
Not only are we blessed spir
itually, we are blessed finan
cially.
We have families,
homes, cars, job, education,
etc. Bishop and Mother
Latimer have a real love for
God's people, especially the
youth. They have established
a $500 scholarship fund for
all the youth that graduate
from high school.
On December 6th
thru December 13th, 2009,
nightly at 7:30 p.m., we'll be
in our Founders' 27th Year
Appreciation Services. These
services will convene at 1900
East Broad Street, Savannah,
Georgia. The closing service
will be Sunday, December
13th at 1:00 p.m.
In short, our pastors
are a gift from God, but what
we become is our gift to soci
ety.
