Davis Family Reunion Held
Descendants of twins
James Mathew Davis and
Magnus Davis met in
Savannah for their family
reunion August 5-9, 2010.
Hosting were Jessie
Collier Deloach, Grisby
Norris Collier, Arnsel
Magnus Collier (offspring of
Jessie Ruby Davis Collier
and James Edward Collier,
Sr.) and Bettye Davis
Sawyer, daughter of Daisy
and Daniel Davis.
The hosting group, all
officers, and members of
Butler Memorial
Presbyterian Church enjoyed
having the Davis Family
worship and take commun
ion with them on Sunday,
August 8, 2010 at the morn
ing service under the direc
tion of interim pastor Rev.
Don Dilley.
The Davis Family
engaged in many activities
together during their reunion.
Over 100 members and
friends were in attendance
from California, Florida,
Georgia, New York,
Maryland, North and South
Carolina, Texas, Virginia and
the D.C. area.
United Way Campaign

off its campaign on
September 8, 2010, 11:45
a.m. at Savannah Civic
Center.
Campaign Kick-Off
officially marks the begin
ning of United Way's
fundraising efforts in
Bryan, Effingham,
Chatham and Liberty coun
ties.
Highlights of the
event include announce
ment of the four county
fundraising goal, recogni
tion of Campaign Cabinet
members and Loaned
Associates, Pacesetters
results and a keynote
speaker.
Open to the public.
