Pastor Van Marie Green leads the ground breaking for the new sanctuary

Pastor Van Marie Green, Elder
Isaiah Green and the
Everlasting Life Christian
Church family. On August 8,
2010 at 5:00p.m they
BROKE GROUND for their
New Sanctuary.
Jesus spoke these words
according to the gospel of
Mark 10:27 “With men it is
impossible, but not with God:
for with God all things are pos
sible.”
Our God confirmed this
to a crowd of witnesses as He
positioned Pastor Van Marie
Green, Elder Isaiah Green,
Apostle Dr. Idell Cheever,
Reverend Alvin C. Edwards,
Joyce Parris, Charles E. Hall
and Merrill A. Levy, ALA with
shovels in hand and hard hats in
place to prepare the ground
with a short ceremony for the
New Sanctuary at 100
Sparkman Drive in Garden
City, Georgia.
Saints of the Most High
God, trail blazers of the Gospel
of Christ, great Leaders from
various churches and within the
community, friends, family,
and well wishers from near and

Special Meeting for Cann Park and
Jackson Park Neighborhoods
Residents in both the
Cann Park and Jackson Park
neighborhoods are invited to
attend a special meeting to dis
cuss a proposal to expand the
Cann Park Neighborhood
Association to include the
neighboring Jackson Park
neighborhood.
The meeting will be held
at 6 p.m, Thursday, September
2 at Butler Presbyterian
Church, 603 West Victory
Drive.
City officials and staff
will be on-hand to discuss the
benefits of expanding the
neighborhood associations,
including: City Grant
Opportunities, Home
Improvement Funds and
Code Correction Funds.

new Tiger Express Diner

administrators, staff, alumni
and friends gathered Friday,
Aug. 27, 2010, for a formal
dedication ceremony for the
new Tiger Express Diner on
the SSU campus.
Tiger Express Diner,
which replaces the snack
kiosks housed in Jordan and
most recently in Tiger Arena,
gives the 3,800-plus Savannah
State students a genuine dining
venue on the west end of the
campus.
Menu options include
biscuit sandwiches for break
fast and burgers, fish sand
wiches and fries for lunch and
dinner. Salads, sandwiches,
fruit cups and bottled drinks
are also available in the diner's
