ture a five oookoui softball game and fun activities For
the w hole Family.
On Father's Day. June I Osh tve will continue our
celebration with Sunday School at 9:3 Q a.in. with a
special Father's Day Program sponsored by ihe Young
Adult Class. Our Men's Day Worship Service will
begin at M:Q0 am with special Guesi messenger Rev

Hie Reverend Edward I . Ellis ill was hom the third
of three children to Rev, Edward I.. Ellis, .lr, and Mrs.
Lillian Williams Ellis m Monroe, Georgia. He accept
ed Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord at an early age
and joined thankful Baptist Church in Athens.. Geor
gia w here his fatfjtr served as Senior Pastor.
After comp Feting elementary and secondary school
through the ninth grade in Walton Courtly, his father
was called to pastor the historic first Bryan Baptist
Church in Savannah, Georgia. He graduated from
Savannah High School with honors in I‘>87 and from
Morehouse College with a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Religion in 1992- 3n .April 1W4, Rev, Ellis heeded
the call to preach and delivered his initial sermon at
First Bryan Baptist Church. Soon after, he enrolled al
the Eastern Baptist I biological Seminary:, graduating
With a Masters of Divinity degree lit 1997.
Rev, l ilts is married to the farmer Gena Y. Roberts,
Bis college sweetheart, of Savannah, Georgia. God
has blessed this union with three sons, Edward Lamar
Ellis IV. Samuel Lewis Ellis and William lay lor Rob
erts Kills. We look forward to seeing you this weekend
at Second Church.
