True Life is Lived By The Spirit
Evan. Rachel Thomas
I have wept, and
cried over God’s Word as the
Holy Spirit gave me Blessed
Assurance. He is the Word of
God and the Word has truly
blessed me through the years
even to life in my Spirit. His
word is truly Spirit and life
and we are His people. We
Must live by it. As I count my
blessings through the begin
ning of my journey with Him,
I cannot express my thankful
ness, my gratefulness.. Praise
and Glory to God for all He
has done for me and my fam
ily who has gone ahead. He
has done miraculous moves
in their lives and mine. It
would take the writing of a
book to tell it all, but through
it all, I’ve learned to trust in
Jesus as I walk the narrow
way with Him in the Spirit
realm.
You see, we are not
of this world, we are only
pilgrims going through it to
serve the Lord. No, the road
won’t be easy but just know
without a doubt that He will
never leave you, nor forsake
you. He is true to His promis
es. He goes before you to fix
everything and everyone for
you, I walk in prayer, I cease
not to pray. That is why I lost
my job as a master teacher of
22 years because I would not
cease to pray after they took
prayer out of the schools after
being elected chaplain of the
PTA. I rather obey God than
man. God fixed it for me. He
gave me the whole city.
When my oldest
son, Ronald died in 2007, the
Holy Spirit came just min
utes before He died and in
terceded for him through me.
My other son, Anthony called
from the hospital to inform
me that Ron had just died,
and I thanked the Lord God
for sending His Holy Spirit.
Again when my husband died
the following year, 2008, the
Holy Spirit did a miraculous
thing and used me again.
However, I walk
close to God, have had an
intimate relationship with
Him for 38 years, and have
had fellowship with Him ev
ery morning when He wakes
me at 3 or 4 a.m. He desires
to hear your heart’s cries and
your needs spoken to Him.
and to speak to you from His
words. Be sure to write every
word He speaks to your Spir
it. He is God, and He Loves
You.
Take time to be
with, God everyday in prayer
with His word. Know that He
is there with you, loving you,
and will see to your needs. His
Grace is sufficient for your
every need, and He gives you
sweet peace, and contentment
about them all. I believe, and
walk by Romans: 8;28; John
16.23- 24 and all of chapter
15 of John. God’s Word is
true, and shall not return to
Him void. I know that He will
accomplish all that He sends
it out to do. I am his true wit
ness, and labourer.
God Bless. You are in my
prayers., because of Christ
I love you!

Chess Not Checkers
We are two weeks away, from what I truly believe
is one of the most important elections in my lifetime. Not just
on a national scale, but the stakes
are very high here in Chatham
County.
I do not believe that it
is a secret to anyone, that I am
supporting President Obama’s
reelection efforts. When I ride
through the streets of Savannah
I do not see the political signs
supporting our President but that
does not concern me. What I do
find troubling, is the fact that we
are looking at this election as a
game of checkers and not chess.
Let me explain, in
checkers all the pieces are of
equal value unless they are crowned. All the pieces move the
same way and they are subject to the same limitations. Chess,
on the other hand, the pieces are not equal and each piece
moves under a different set of restrictions.
The goal in checkers is to capture all your opponents’
pieces however; the goal in chess is to capture your opponents
King and protect yours. In your quest to protect the King all
pieces are subject to be sacrificed and the “Pawn” is often the
first to be offered. The pawn is the most numerous and the
weakest piece in the chess game and therefore, anyone trying
to protect their King will freely sacrifice their pawns.
In this election, people of color and the poor are
nothing more than pawns in this political game. Politicians
bragging about wanting to appeal programs that are designed
to help those in need for no other reason than to stir up their
base. They do not hide the fact that there is a segment of our
population that they do not care about. Understand, to them we
are just pawns and their goal is to protect their King and win
back the White House.
I would love to tell you that we are all on equal foot
ing and our voices are heard no matter what social, political, or
economic station we find ourselves; however if we do not vote
you are truly nothing more than an expendable pawn in these
United States. Let me spell it out, you don’t matter. They are
more concerned with a growing deficit than whether or not
you have food on your table. Early voting has already begun,
general election November 6th.
