Bolton Street Baptist Church.
Rep. Brooks is a stalwart
humanitarian. He is a civil
rights and human rights ac
tivist who is revered and rec
ognized locally, state, nation
ally, and internationally.
At the age of 15, he
was personally trained and
mentored by Rev. Dr. Mar
tin Luther King, Jr., Rev. Dr.
Ralph David Abernathy, and
Rev. Dr. Hosea Williams. He
has accomplished many great
feats for the cause of civil
rights and social justice.
The Committee To

71 Year Old Woman, Assaulted,
Suspects Sought
Metro Police are
seeking information on the
beating and robbery of a
71-year-old woman by two
males who attacked her in her
garage Friday night.
The two black males
approached the woman as
she parked her car in the
garage of her residence in
the 100 block of East Jones
Street about 10:30 p.m., phys
ically assaulted her and stole
her car.
The vehicle was
soon found abandoned in the
800 block of Waters Avenue
without her purse and its
contents.Robbery Unit and
Downtown Precinct detec
tives of the Savannah-Cha
tham Metropolitan Police De
partment are asking anyone
who saw anything near the
100 block of East Jones Street
contact them.
Anyone with infor
mation on the case is asked
