tion Awards. Two categories
included schools from the
Savannah-Chatham County
Public School System
The announcement
was made during a special
live broadcast presented by
TAG in collaboration with
Georgia Public Broadcast
ing (GPB) and the STEM
Education Awards broadcast
sponsors, Cisco Systems Inc.
and the US Department of
Commerce- Economic De
velopment Association. The
live broadcast, from GPB
studios in Atlanta, GA, was
showcased during a press
conference viewing event at
Woodville Tompkins Techni
cal & Career High School on
Friday, August 30, 2013.

panies for outstanding efforts
and achievements in support
ing and promoting STEM
(Science, Technology, Engi
neering, and Math) Education
in Georgia.

County. She is a Civil Engineering
graduate. She received her ii.S, from
Savannah State University in Chil

poetry writer. Sbe recently completed her

PE license. Site plans to start Savannah Technical College in the spring 10 Obtain her
Associates in Construction Management, which is her concentration.
Golden Broom Award Presented

Mayor Pro-tem Van Johnson as other city officials look on.
