Dr. Daalia M. Jones Dr. Patrick J. Nunan
Intellectually dis
abled persons are often
faced with practitioners that
are not trained to provide
service to this segment of
our community. Athletes
need a doctor that is unique
ly qualified to treat their
injuries and train them in
prevention. Children, the
elderly and diabetics need
specialized care. Antioch
Foot and Ankle Group is
pleased to welcome Dr. Daa
lia M. Jones and Dr. Patrick
J. Nunan into the Antioch
family. Both are uniquely
qualified in their respective
areas to meet these special
needs.
Dr. Daalia Jones
treats a wide variety of foot
and ankle problems with an
emphasis on conservative
(non-surgical) and therapeu
tic care. She has profession
al interests in limb salvage,
especially the prevention of
amputations in diabetic pa
tients, wound care and gen
eral preventive diabetic foot
care. Dr. Jones also pro
vides palliative conservative
foot and ankle care to aid in
pain relief for a large num
ber of elderly and debilitated
patients, as well as those pa
tients residing in long-term
care facilities.
Bom in Cincinnati,
Ohio, Dr. Jones is still con
sidered a “Georgia Peach”

Georgia. She completed her
comprehensive three-year
training program in Podiat-
ric Medicine and Surgery at
the Saint Vincent Medical
Center in New York, where
she had the distinction of
serving as the Chief Resi
dent.
Dr. Patrick Nunan
brings 30 years of practice
experience to Antioch. He
currently competes in Mas
ter’s swimming, open water
swimming, triathlons and
running events. Dr. Nunan
was the Podiatry Consultant
to all sports teams at Wilm
ington (Ohio) College for
15 years. He has lectured
students, athletic trainers,
physicians, and podiatrists
nationally and international
ly. Dr. Nunan is published
in several scientific journals,
including a chapter in the
book “Athletic Footwear
and Orthoses in Sports Med
icine” edited by Matthew B.
Werd and E. Leslie Knight.
Dr. Nunan started
a program called “Fit Feet”,
and serves as the Global
Clinical Advisor. Fit Feet
is part of the Healthy Ath
letes program of the Spe
cial Olympics, which offers
health services and infor
mation to athletes in dire
need. Special Olympics is
the largest global public
health organization dedicat
ed to serving people with
intellectual disabilities. Dr.
Nunan has travelled world
wide examining athletes.
He is proficient in surgery
of the forefoot, rear foot
and ankle, sports medicine,
disability medicine, wound
care, muscular skeletal and
children’s deformities. He
treats patients with complex
orthopedic deformities of
the lower extremities, both
children and adults. He has
a passion for working with
the intellectually disabled,
which are one of the most
underserved populations in
medicine.
Dr. Nunan com
pleted his residency at the
Foot Clinic of Youngstown
(Ohio) and affiliated hospi
tals. He is the past President
of the Ohio Podiatric Med
ical Association, and the
