Line the streets of West Savannah and Hudson Hill starting at Ferrill St., Augusta Ave., Jenkins St., Cleland St., Krenson St., Mundy St., Hudson Hill Community Center. Mitch Shores was sworn in on Thursday, De cember 1st as Richmond Hill’s new chief of police. He will replace Billy Reyn olds, who served as chief of police for the last 31 years and was recently elect ed Bryan County probate judge. “We are very ex cited about having Mitch join the City’s leadership team and expect a smooth transition when he officially comes on board,” said May or Harold Fowler. “We have high expectations and know he will do an excellent job.” Shores comes to the City of Richmond Hill Police Department from Savannah, where he cur rently works for the Sa- vannah-Chatham Metro politan Police Department (SCMPD) as a sergeant. He has 24 years of law enforce ment experience, having worked as a field training officer, a police academy in structor and a member of the SCMPD SWAT team. Shores, a resi dent of Richmond Hill, was named “Supervisor of the Year” in 2005 by the Savan nah Area Exchange Club and also has experience working with the Chatham County Narcotics Team and the U.S. Marshal Fugitive Team.
