Taylor Roberts
Presents

Jazz Associ
ation is excited to present
a concert by Taylor Roberts
to be held on Sunday, March
19th at 5 p.m. at the Westin
Savannah Harbor Golf Re
sort & Spa on Hutchinson
Island. Roberts will present
a solo set and a trio set, add
ing Billy Hoffman on drums
and Mitch Hennes on bass.
Bom and raised in
Gainesville, Florida, Taylor
found himself in an ideal
location for nurturing his
musical career. Since the
age of four, music has been
the most important thing in
Roberts’ life, for it was then
that he met and fell in love
with the piano. The mysteri
ous instrument produced the
most amazing sounds with
the simple press of a key.
Though he had been on the
planet for a mere four years,
his young heart knew that
he simply had to master this
instrument, and so it was
quickly arranged for him to
study privately with a teach
er at home.
After nine years
of lessons and picking out
songs from records to play
on the piano, at the age of
thirteen he got his first gui
tar.

Chatham County Youth Commission
2017 Annual Legislative Tour
On Saturday, Feb
ruary 26th, the Chatham
County Youth Commission
set out on their 2017 Annual
Legislative Tour. They set
out from the Savannah Civic
Center close to midnight to
make their way to Washing
ton, DC where they visited
the NEWSEUM to discover
the history of news, to the
newest museum on the mall,
the National Museum of
African-American History
and Culture. While in our
Nation’s Capital, the Youth
Commissioners also visited
the United States Holocaust
Memorial Museum where
they spoke with 100 year
old, Mrs. Fanny Aizenberg,
a survivor of the Holocaust
who visits the museum ev
ery Sunday to speak about
her experiences. Soon after,
they said goodbye to Wash
ington, DC and headed for
New York City where the
students took a tour of the
9/11 Memorial Museum and
later that night saw “Wick
ed: The Musical” live on
Broadway and had a little
fun in Times Square.

career in 2015 to pursue her

en explore and birth their
God-given dreams. She is
a dynamic speaker, author,
mentor, coach, facilitator
and transformational leader.
Penne is the author of I’m
A Dream Girl: A Guide to
Fulfilling Your God-Giv
en Dreams. She currently
serves as Founder/CEO of
Penne Allison LLC, a faith
based company focused
on providing high quality
events, resources and coach
ing for clients to move their
dreams from action plans to
reality. She resides in Sa
vannah, Georgia with her
husband, Steve. They have
one son, Benjamin, who at
tends college in Tennessee.

from the University of Ten
nessee Center for Health
Sciences and a Master’s De

Music Festival begins on

a multi-disciplinary event
and transitioning to solely
music in 2003, SMF pres
