Members of the class of 1972 are excited as we
approach the 45th year since we received our degrees from
our beloved Alma Mater. We look forward to celebrating
with each of you this year at Homecoming during our class
reunion.
Members of our class met last October during
homecoming weekend to get the ball rolling with plans for
the reunion. We will keep you informed.

Bethesda Academy Organic Fann and Garden Farm Stand,
9520 Ferguson Avenue, new hours are every Wednesday
from 3-5pm. Items include: fresh produce, seasonal vege
tables, herbs, free range eggs, a variety of plants, goat milk
soap, firewood and more. In addition, 100 percent grass fed
ground beef in various quantities are available at the fann
stand, which is raised and distributed by Bethesda Acade
my’s Cattle & Beef Operation. Specialty cuts are also avail
able.

Class Of 1968 Meeting
The Sol C. Johnson Class of 1968 will hold their
monthly meeting at Carey Hillard’s, 11111 Abercom Exten
sion, on May 20th at, 3 p.m.
Please come to the meeting to help us plan our
50th Class Reunion. Our 50th Reunion is scheduled for
June 15-17, 2018. We look forward to you will passing the
word around to our class mates who may not know about
our meetings or planned reunion. We need everyone’s help
and input so that we can have a successful and memorable
50th reunion.

100 Women Raise Money For
Non-Profit Organizations
The 100 Women in Savannah group needs your support to
help raise money for local nonprofit organizations. They
meet four times a year for one hour to learn about organiza
tions that need funding assistance. The cost is $ 100/member
each quarter, which goes straight to the selected charities.

LCRS Community News
Liberty City-Richfield-Southover Community
Association’s monthly meeting was held Monday, April
3, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Liberty City Center. Mr. How
ard Lipscomb presided. The Inspiration was done by Mrs.
Lavita Whatley entitled “Easter Is A Time To Remember
A Young Man Named Jesus.” Guests were introduced by
President Lipscomb and included the Fire Department, Po
lice Department, City Representatives and County Repre
sentatives. Captain Christina Windsor gave a very detailed
presentation on crime in West Chatham and others gave
important information relevant to LCRS residents. The
business meeting was conducted and important dates to
remember are Easter- Sunday, April 16, 2017, Earth Day-
Saturday, April 22, 2017 and Arbor Day- Friday, April 28,
2017. All April Birthday Celebrants were extended Birth
day well wishes. The meeting was adjomed and the Mizpah
was given by Chaplain Lavita Whatley. The next meeting
will be Monday May 1, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.
