Johnson High School Class of 1964 awarded a S500 scholarship to Kiara Maria Cook, a 2017 graduate of Sol C. Johnson High School. The award is based on outstanding aca demic performance, leader ship skills and community service. Kiara was a mem ber of the Student Council, played softball and was a prior member of the track team. She was affiliated with the Savannah Chapter of Top Teens of America as well as the Delta Gems Pro gram. Her dedication and commitment to her academ ic studies earned the distinc tion of being the Valedicto rian of the SCJHS Class of 2017. She will be attending Clark Atlanta University as a Mass Communications Major. She is the daughter of proud parents Keshala and Khalee Cook. The Class of 1964 salutes this Rising Star and Future Trailblazer. Kiara is also the winner of the 2016 Scholar ship awarded by the Sol C. Johnson High School Ath letic Hall of Fame Associ ation Inc.
