Matthew Mitchell Named Superintendent’s Student
of the Month For January
Our featured Stu
dent of the Month represent
ing the month of January is
a second grade student from
Bloomingdale Elementary
School. He is described as
“sweet, smart and a model
citizen.”
This High Honor
Roll student surpassed his
own reading goal he set at
the beginning of the year
while continuing to read in
class and at home. His teach
er says he shows up every
day with a great attitude and
a love for learning. When he
was able to go to treasure
box, he chose a prize for
his little sister, rather than a
toy for himself. Outside of
school, he is active in both
soccer and baseball.
When asked what
motivates him to strive for
academic success, he says,
“I want to do better in math,
I keep trying hard because I
really enjoy math and want
to do my best.”
We are proud to
announce the Superinten
dent’s Student of the Month
for January 2019 is Matthew
Mitchell! Congratulations
to our student, his family,
and the faculty and staff of
Bloomingdale Elementary
School!
