Greenbriar Children’s Center Opens Gift Wrap Fundraiser
On December 9th
The Savannah Tribune will

December 6,2022 Runoff
Election in the next edition

dren’s Center will once
again celebrate the holiday
season and raise essential
funding by helping busy
shoppers with their wrap
ping needs at the annual Gift
Wrap Center.
The Gift Wrap
Center will be hosting its
opening ceremonies at 4:00
pm on Friday, Dec. 9th at
Oglethorpe Mall, 7804 Ab-
ercorn St. in a storefront that
previously housed Hollister
Co., off the Macy’s Court
area. The Gift Wrap Cen
ter is manned by Greenbri
ar volunteers and will be
open every day beginning

fundraiser helps support the
organization’s mission to
provide affordable and ac
credited early learning pro
grams for children under the
age of 5, FREE family coun
seling and support services,
and the essential operation
of an emergency shelter for
abused, abandoned and ne
glected children ages 11-18.
This shelter is one of only
two such shelters for chil
dren in the entire Coastal
Empire.
Greenbriar is seek
ing volunteers to help wrap
presents for eager shoppers.
Volunteers may sign up via

going to the home page and
clicking at the very top of
the page.
“The Gift Wrap
Center has been a holiday
tradition for years and helps
us to raise critical funding
for our programs. Shoppers
bring their gifts purchased in
the mall or even online and
we provide the paper, bows,
ribbons and wrapping to
make their presents look ex
tra festive,’’ said Greenbriar
Executive Director Gena
Taylor.
All funds raised
will help support Greenbri
ar’s programs for children
and families during the hol
iday season and throughout
the year.
