Pickleball is Growing in the Savannah Communities
Thank You For Reading
Pickleball, the
entertaining cross between
ping-pong, badminton, and
tennis, is taking the world
by storm, and Savannah has
seen it’s share of the action.
Pickleball is
played on a court about
one-third the size of a tennis
court. The game is slower
paced than other competi
tive racquet sports, making
it easier for people of all
ages and athleticism to par
ticipate.
According to the
Sports & Fitness Industry
Association, there were 4.8
million players in the USA
in 2021. That makes pick
leball the fastest-growing
sport in America.
With Savannah’s
mild climate and sporty
population, pickleball has
grown alongside the rest of
the country. It’s easy to see
why. Pickleball is genuine
fun for all the family, and a
great way to get fit without
feeling like you’re doing ex
ercise.
Places to Play Pickleball
in Savannah
Here are a few of
the top places to play pick
leball in Savannah:

Savannah Pickleball Club
uses these courts, check out
their page for updates and
meet-ups.

YMCA

ly YMCA at Johnny Mercer
Boulevard has two indoor,

YMCA members, or $5 for
a guest pass.
The Landings Club
With ten courts available,
the Landings has one of the
