Board of Public Education
Seeks Public Input On
FY24 Budget
The SCCPSS Finance
team is seeking input for the
development of the FY24 Bud
get through a brief survey. This
budget, when adopted, will
serve as the key operating plan
for the district as we work daily
to ensure a world-class school
system is provided where ALL
children are learning at high
levels. Each year, the budget
document is the product of
much planning and effort on
the part of both staff members
and faculty to meet district
and school benchmarks within
available resources.
The Board of Edu
cation will hold several public
hearings on the budget before
voting on the final budget on
June 21. You can find all the
public hearing dates in the cal
endar on the front page of the
website at www.sccpss.com.
This survey will re
main open through April 30.

lished May 5, 2023. Take the

City Launches interactive
Building Permit Tracker Map
The City of Savannah
recently launched the Build
ing Permit Tracker interactive
map. Created and maintained
by the City’s Development Ser
vices Department, the Building
Permit Tracker has information
on active residential and com
mercial permits issued by the
City.
The public can access
the interactive map and find
helpful information about its
features by visiting www.sa-
vannahga.gov/buildingpermit-
map.

naming process for the historic
square formerly known as Cal
houn Square between Abercorn
and East Wayne streets. The
meeting will occur on Wednes
day, April 26, at 6 p.m. in the
Coastal Georgia Center at 305
Fahm Street.
The City will not
take naming suggestions at this
meeting, and submitted names
will not be reviewed. After the
application window closes, the
public can give feedback on
suggested names that meet the
requirements.

the application requirements.
