Mr. Swanson Hancock brings us particulars of a weddiug at Sandy Point, Jobu Smith is the groom and Miss Sallie Scarborough is the happy bride. It seems that the parents of fee young lady did not wish iier to marry, but in spite of alt op¬ position the knot was bed last Thursday. Miss Sallie mot her lover at the. spring, and Justice Greene Holloman being present the ceremony was performed there in sight of home but nuknown !o the parents of the youug lady. Smith's residence, Lester’s temporary cotton warehouse. There iS talk of erecting four other store buildings and two residences. Some, and likely all of these houses will be built.
