As the Editor, printer and devil have all been one, and this being court week, the paper is not so full of news as it gen¬ erally is. The Editor has not been able to put the usual amount of work on this issue of the paper, on account of having to canvass for subscribers. When ynp go to Atlanta stop at -the Talmadge House, opposite custom house on north side. We find this one of the best places in the Gate City. If we had a dozen such agents as-Mr. A, M. Mr. Aaron Shurley has had success at raising partridges, but be says his birds have become scattered since J. T. A ndrews and others have started to hunting. The boys should let Mr. Shurley’s bird farm alone. CJ. W. C. Winslow, candidate for So¬ licitor General of this circuit, has been iu town most of the week. His opponent in the race is a very prominent and hie law¬ yer, still we are of of the opinion .that Col.
