Ir is with regret that we have to chron¬
icle the news of Dr. C. W. VanVa!ken
burg’s death.
For about two months he has suffered
ravages of a cancer of the bowels, He
h-ui much able medical attention at home,
but concluded to make a trip to Atlanta
where he could have a change, and proba¬
bly more advantages of medical science. He
was in Atlanta but a few days when be
grew much worse, and on Wednesday be
died.
