Editor Bulletin,
Irwinton, Ga.
Dear Sir:—For over a year, my
heart ms been deeply moved with
the wish to hold a great county meet
ing for the spiritual uplift of old
Wilkinson. I want to see this a
great Union meeting that shall know
no denominational lines, but one that
will build up the cause of Christ in
every home.
We want this to be a meeting that
shall reach all the people, not a lit
tle corporal’s guard of the faithful.
It is my hope to have a big te.it, a
singer and if possible to co-operation
of a Baptist minister. I am unde
cided yet whether I will hold this
this meeting in Gordon or Irwinton.
It depends on which place shall seem
most likely to get the co-operation
of the people.
I do trust that our good friends in
dear old Wilkinson, will pray for this
meeting, work for it and expect
GREAT THINGS OF GOD.
This meeting, that is to say, the
equipment, the singer, etc., may cost
a little money, but I want everyone
to understand that so far as mv ser
vices are concerned I shall ask or ac
cept one cent from any one, although
I shall have to lay aside valuable
work to do this. But if I shall help
just one man to a better,’sweeter life,
I shall be paid over and over.
More later. Will be glad to
hear from any bodj’ in the county in
reference to this meeting. Write me
at Tallapoosa, Ga.
Yours sincerely,
Marvin Williams.
We cannot hear to any intimation
that this meeting being anywhere
except Irwintoh. We believe We
need it most and we have no fear
as to the hearty co-operation of all
the people of this section. Irwinton
is nearer the center of the county
than any other point of consequence.
There are are several reasons why
Irwinton should have these meetings
and chief among these is, she needs
them. As to the expenses of equip
ment we will guarantee old Irwinton’s
loyalty. We must have this meeting,
so let everybody pull for it.
