The student body of Morehouse welcomes as instructor in ac
countancy Mr. B. A. Muller, student, Palmer’s Business College and
Temple; graduate, Wharton School of Finance and Commerce, Penn
sylvania University, ’21; auditor, Tuskegee Institute, previous to his
present position as accountant for the Service Company. "

O F the various 'Student organizations functioning at Mareho,u§e f
the -Young Men’s Christian Association ds one which holds a
place unchallenged and unexcelled. In avw.ay which is.quiet and un
assuming, b.ut oat the rsam>e time, essentially vital, the “Y>” .makes a
definite<contribution to the life of every student.. There may^be a
tendency to lose sight of this fact in face of such marvelous.achieve
ments. rh "athletics and debating, but nevertheless it is. clearly true.
More and ntore the present day program for college-trained
leadership sis demanding -leadership that is safe, sound and ..well
groundediin Christian principles. In order to meet these demands
the students must be-subjected to a strong -.Christian environment
during.their school.days, so that their moral training may keep pace
with tlJeanphysioal- and; intellectual growth. Too. often; it-.is. Univers
ally true that much of the failure experienced by people .of.xollegiate
standing simply exposes the fact that, during their college career,
their spiritual and religious growth and development stood still,
while their physical and intellectual -training ^reached its highest
point.
Our Y. M. C. A. is doing its duty. At the very beginning of the
school year, almost before the old students had a chance to greet.each
other or get acquainted with th'eir new brothers, the Young Men’s
Christian Association pitched its “Week of Prayer” Campaign, dur
ing which time many souls were brought to Christ. The association
sends out more than one hundred'Sunday school teachers, who are do
ing very effective.work affiong the various churches throughout the
city. Free moving'pictures are. shown weekly. A series of chapel
