Jim's older sister, Jane, and 1 were sophomore roommates at GSCW in Milledgeville and remained best of friends until her death to cancer. Janie and her husband John McDonald with Prentice- Hall lived in several cities and 1 enjoyed visits by Delta with them in Miami. Their 50th reunion was held Alumni Weekend April 23-24 at Georgia College and State University. That’s quite a fete for Ketus who only turned 70 last July. Yes. she graduat ed from Baxley High School at 16 when there was no twelfth grade and from GSCW at 20. She and her roommate, Mary McDougald. came to Perry to teach, following their Milledgeville minister, the Rev. James Teresi, who had become pastor at Perry Baptist Church. It didn’t take Julian Cawthon long to win her heart and the rest is histo ly.
