Zeneca Supports the
Peanut Industry
For a crop protection company to
be successful, they depend on growers
to be successful. That’s why Zeneca
Ag Products is
proud to
promote and
support the
peanut industry
through sponsor
ship of numerous
programs.
Peanut
producers have
shown their
support and
n
confidence in
Zeneca through die purchase of
products like BRAVO ULTREX®
and ABOUND® fungicides,
KARATE® Z insecticide and
STAR FIRE® herbicide. Zeneca feels
it’s essential to return its support to
the industry to ensure farmers are
successful in the future.
Here are just a few of the ways
Zeneca supports the peanut industry:
• Financial support of the Peanut
Institute through the sale of Bravo
Ultrex.
• Establishment of the Peanut
Leadership Program designed to
develop leadership skills among
the top growers in the Southeast.
• Support of the newly formed
Southern Peanut Farmers
Federation and sponsorship of its
first conference next July in
Panama City Beach, Fla.
• Sponsorship of the Champions
Night Out, Georgia Peanut
Moneymakers and Peanut
Achievers programs honoring the
high-yield winners from the
Southeastern states.
• Support of local peanut production
meeting? set up by county agents.
• Supporter of Harvest Aid Chart
(Hull Scrape), a system growers are
using to better time their peanut
harvest for optimum grades and
yields.
• Support of university research and
extension through peanut research
I grants.
Zeneca is providing resources for
the researchers who give growers the
information they need to do a better
job producing peanuts. In addition,
Zeneca is supporting association
leaders who work to promote and
protea the sale and consumption of
peanuts.
All of the companies, organiza
tions and researchers whose work is
related to the peanut industry
depend on the success of peanut
growers for their livelihood. That’s
why Zeneca Ag Products is proud to
sponsor programs that benefit peanut
producers.
