Life
While the Relay for Life is
about raising funds for the
American Cancer Society, there’s
plenty of fun for everyone.
May 14
6:30 p.m. Reception for
Survivors, Coordinated by the
Pilot Qub of Perry.
7 p.m. Opening Ceremony.
Speaker, the Honorable Jim

Sanders of Kings Chapel
Elementary School.
7:15 p.m. Survivors’ Walk.
A lap around the Perry High
School track by persons who have
survived cancer. Singing during
the walk will be the Voices of
New Hope Baptist Church.
After the Survivors Walk, the
19 registered teams will begin
circling the track. This walk will
continue until noon, May 15.
7:30 p.m. Pictures of the

Special Attractions
Rachel English and Ben Jones of WMAZ
TV, Macon, Channel 13, will serve as masters
of ceremony during the Relay for Life.
The city of Perry will sponsor a $2 per
ticket raffle to raise additional funds for the
Relay. The prizes include a one-night stay at
Henderson Village and lunch for four at the
Langston House 1838 Restaurant.
Tickets go on sale May 14 at 7:30 p.m. and
continue until 12 a.m. May 15.
Members of the Relay for Life teams will
have Krispy Kreme doughnuts available for

Pit during the evening May 14 and the morn
ing of May 15 to enjoy the entertainment and
encourage the walkers as they circle the PHS
track.

in preparing for this event."
