Amanda Malone completes MCG degree with honors Amanda Malone gradu ated May 8 cum laude from the Medical College of Georgia with a degree in nursing. During the awards part of the commencement she was also given the Lillian D. Wald Community Nursing Clinical Practice Award. Charles and Terri Malone spent the weekend in Augusta with former Perry neighbors Tom and Joanne Leonard in their new home, and Joanne attended graduation with them. Amanda will begin her nursing career in Augusta but first she has received another opportunity to par ticipate in a medical mis sion trip, this time in Venezuela. Remember, last summer she spent five weeks on the Amazon in Peru with this same program. Their instructor is Argene Claxton. The young state winners will travel to Louisville, Ky., next fall to compete nationally.
