Lt. Governor Mark Taylor was the keynote speaker at the lunch meeting. Houston Arts Alliance board members Varie Rustin, Francis Edenfield, Jo Drinkhaun and Lora Arledge. attended the meet ing and participated in a workshop presented by Ann Davis on “lanning for new, small, emerging and underserved organiza ‘ tions.” Davis, who is manager of community development for the Georgia Council for the Arts, presented a in depth look at the stages of creating and implementing a plan, providing informa tion that would be useful for any organization. Celebration Fellowship seeks donations of used puppets Special to the Home Journal The Celebration Fellowship church will launch a sum mer program, the “Jesus' Names Kids’ Club' on June 6. Children who join the club will receive an official member ship card, earn badges, win prizes and learn the club's handshake and password. The church has started a puppet drive and is seeking donations of puppets for the children's program According to Nyree Brodrick. they will accept “old, new. homemade and abused puppets."
