The Free dom Shrine is a display of copies of all the freedom documents important to the United States. A Mayflower Compact, a Declaration of Indepen dence. a U.S. Constitution, and a Bill of Rights are hanging in the traffic court room. Judy Hall. Exchange Club member, welcomed those attending the event by saying. “The Exchange Club of Perry does a lot of good for the community.” She added that members choose to do the Freedom Shrine "so people, especial ly young people, can see the effort so many made to grant us freedom.” Hall explained that the Exchange Club is proud of the Freedom Shrine. It is one of more than 11,000 such Freedom Shrines across the nation that Exchange Clubs put up throughout the country. HERE A MOO, THERE A MOO! The nursery song, “Old MacDonald had a farm”, came to life for children at Meadowdale Learning Center in Perry recently. The visit from farm animals, included a cow, a sheep, a horse and a wide variety of poultry. The outdoor program, entitled “Lffe on the Farm” was presented by Leon Porter of the Houston County Extension Service in coordination with Fort Valley State University.
