Christie is holding down the
fort at the home place. He
graduated in December
from University of Georgia
with degrees in bio-chem
istry and biology'.
Since then he has divided
his time between Athens
helping a professor with a
research paper and home
or Stratford Academy’s
learning lab where he
tutors in biology, chemistry
and physical science. He
hopes to attend medical
school at Mercer University
in the fall
Barrett graduates Emory

bachelor of science in biolo

While at Emory. Barrett

highest honors).
He will attend Emory
University School of Medi
cine next year on partial
scholarship and is plan

squares added Just the
right sweet taste. Mary
Ann shared her recipe.
They were the best ever
Lemon Squares
Crust:
1 cup butter, melted
2 cups all-purpose
flour
1/2 cup powdered
sugar
Mix together and press
onto bottom and sides of
9 by 13 greased pan.
Bake 20 minutes at 350
degrees.
Filling:
3 eggs, beaten
11/2 cup sugar
3 T. lemon juice
Pour over crust. Bake
20 minutes more. Sift
powdered sugar over top
and let cool. Cut into
squares.
