Dudley and Whitney will join her in Memphis Sunday for Whitney to play golf next week in the Bubba Conley Memorial Tourna ment at Olive Branch. Miss. She will be playing in the Georgia USGA Tournament at Canterbury Country' Club in Atlanta the next week. Meanwhile Benjie Christie is holding down the fort at the home place. He graduated in December from University of Georgia with degrees in bio-chem istry and biology'. Since then he has divided his time between Athens helping a professor with a research paper and home or Stratford Academy’s learning lab where he tutors in biology, chemistry and physical science. He hopes to attend medical school at Mercer University in the fall Barrett graduates Emory Special to the Home Journal Britt barrett. son of Lyn ward and Debbie Barrett of Perry graduated from Emory University May 10 with a bachelor of science in biolo gy and a minor in French. While at Emory. Barrett was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honorary' society, and for his thesis in molec ular genetics, he graduated surnnia cum laude (with highest honors). Fish fry for Lawson and Rooks capped with lemon squares By JOAN DORBBTT relatives of Bob Lawson and Kollyn Rooks gath ered on the terrace of the Forest Hill Drive home of Dudley and Linda Christie the evening of June 5 for a fish fry. They were the best ever Lemon Squares Crust: 1 cup butter, melted 2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup powdered sugar Mix together and press onto bottom and sides of 9 by 13 greased pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Filling: 3 eggs, beaten 11/2 cup sugar 3 T. lemon juice Pour over crust. Bake 20 minutes more. Sift powdered sugar over top and let cool. Cut into squares. Page 3B
