Obituaries Laura Frances Harrison Laura Frances Harrison, 87, of 500 Stanley St., Perry, died June 14, 1999 at the Houston Medical Center. Graveside services were held June 15 at the Ever green Cemetery, with the Rev. Tom Teate officiating. Bom in Grovania, Miss Harrison lived in Macon for 23 years before moving to Perry. She attended Young Harris College, worked at the Naval Ordinance Plant in Macon and was a dieti cian, retired from Georgia Industrial Home. She was a member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church of Macon. She is survived by her sisters and brothers, June Harris of Warner Robins, Willis C. Harrison of Perry, Harold B. Harrison of Win ter Haven, Fla.; Freda H. Hoff of Macon; Charles S. Harrison of Grovania, and Florence H. Brown of Hawaii. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Is it installed correct ly? Before you answer, con sider two facts: More than 17,000 chil dren’s carseats have been recalled by the federal gov ernment. At a recent safety check point in Perry, volunteers checked seats against the recall list, and also checked the installation of the seats. By mid-morning they had only found one carseat that met all criteria for safety, and had found 20 which were on recall or were too unsafe to continue using. Those parents received free new carseats on the spot. The “friendly check”, held at the Kroger parking lot, was the culmination of several days of training for Safe Kids workers from across Georgia. According to Melanie Felder turns himself in who was being sought by Perry Police and the U.S. Mar shalls fugitive squad on drug-related charges, has turned himself in, accord ing to Perry Police Depart ment Det. Heath Dykes. JFelder, 20, was charged after police discovered two Sounds of marijuana in his ome during a June 4 search. He is being held in the Houston County jail with out bond. Perry, died June 13, 1999. at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., June 16. at the County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Unadilla. Born in Nashville, Ga., she had lived here most of her life. She was a home maker. widow of Burrell William Lamb and a mem ber of County Line Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters and sons. Mari lyn Martin of Macon. Joyce Winters of Perry, Raymond Lamb of Elko, Ronnie Lamb of Warner Robins, Donnie Lamb of Snellville. Wilson Lamb of Conyers and Bill Lamb of Roberta; brothers and sisters, Rob Taylor of Thomaston, Bob Taylor of North Carolina, Coy Taylor of Valdosta and Eura Ray of Nashville; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchil dren. Larsen 111, of Leesburg, Fla.; a daughter, Elizabeth Coffee of Perry, a sister, Naomi Bunnell of St. Petersburg, Fla., a brother, Norman Larsen of Lake City, Fla.; four grandchil dren and one great-grand child. He was a retired electrician from Robins Air Force Base and a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Nelda Yonce Roberts of Kathleen; his sons, Donny Roberts of Kathleen and Terry Roberts of Four Oaks, N.C.; his sisters and brother, Grace Cooper of Cordele, Joan Willis of Mexico Beach, Fla., and J.W. Powell, 100, died June 10, 1999, in Fitzger ald. Services were held at 2 p.m., June 12, at the Cen tral Methodist Church, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Powell was a mem ber of Central United Methodist Church, where she was hostess for 30 years, taught Sunday School and held office with the United Methodist Women.
