Speaking to members of the club June 22, Stalnaker used the opportunity to give an update on several coun ty projects. Stalnaker said the municipal solid waste land fill off Ga. 247 about two miles from Pulaski County is a Sub-Title D facility. This means the landfill is a lined facility. What is ptaeed-4« the landfill daily iS tj££!i&ki ..eauh -evehing \li<Sl3Pg3BJst oT&ffll sm nakdr said the landfill has the most competitive tip ping fees in the state and is also used by Bleckley, Pulaski and Dooly counties and the city of Byron. The landfill receives approximately 400 tons per day of municipal solid waste and construction and demolition materials. Stal naker said this amounts to 125,000 tons on an annual basis. Houston County operates the landfill as an enterprise fund which means this is a stand alone business with revenue and expense using no tax money. “It is an opposite compar ison to Social Security. In this day and time people paying Social Security may not receive benefits from Social Security. Whereas at the landfill the tipping fees are actually paying for the post closure expenditures for the next 30 years,' Stal iv\ ivvroicv BLOWOLT House Size Stock # BR/BA Retail Was NOW!! 42X64 15578 3+2 76,740 66,900 59,900 32X76 26907 5+3 65,900 58,900 53,900 28X76 09557 5+3 59,165 50,210 44,900 28X66 15565 3+2 58,685 49,900 44,300 28X60 83674 3+2 52,610 46,495 39,900 24X48 12568 3+2 39,715 31,660 26,900 ( All Housing - Perry, GA 912-988-9677 or 1-888-206-3319 THwimhl Hob« OPEN HOUSE: visit our beautiful homes EVERY SUNDAY. 1-5.
