Sullivans hosts grand opening

Bear and Doodles, the
Chick fil-A chicken were
just two of the special
guests at the grand opening
festivities held June 25 and
26 at W.D. Sullivan's - a
familiar Perry store with a
new location.
The store . now located at
1021 St. Patrick Drive in
the recently-constructed
strip of shops adjacent to
the new Wal-Mart building,
offers office supplies, gifts,
greeting cards and scrap
book craft supplies.
Davis to join
UGA band

him.

audition you have been
accepted as a member of
the University Of Georgia
Redcoat Band.”
“1 was really relieved. I
was really excited," said
Davis. “I tried out March 20
and have been waiting to
hear from them since.” He
said less than a third of all
people trying out make it.
The dream of playing in a
major university band
started when Davis began
playing the trumpet. He
has been playing the trum
pet for six years.
Davis is the son of John
and Mitzi Davis. He is
active in their church.
Houston Lake Baptist.
John Davis said, “We are
very proud of Judson. He
did it by himself with his
own abilities and talent. He
had a dream and he pur
sued it."
"My Dad is the minister of
music at Houston Lake Bap
tist Church. I’ve grown up
with music my entire life.
Both of my parents are
musical," said Judson Davis.
He will be joining the
Redcoat Band members
Aug. 15 for band camp.
Davis will be studying
architecture while attend
ing UGA.
