Arrington, who has made Perry her home since 1972, retired from Macon State College on June 30, after 25 years as an educator and administrator there. She previously taught at Westfield Schools, Union High School in Sumter County and Wheeler Coun ty High School. In 1974, she accepted a position in the division of economics and business at what was then Macon Junior College. At the time of her retirement, she was a professor of office admin istration and information processing and assistant vice president for academic affairs at the college.
