Obituaries Sarah Cannon Sarah Cannon, 99, of Perry died July 17. Services were held July 25 at New Hope Baptist Church, with burial in Rest Haven Ceme tery. Mrs. Cannon was a mem ber of New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include her sis ter-in-law. Margaret Duffle of Fort Valley; nephews and nieces. Louis Blackmon. C.H. Blackmon. J.B. Black mon. Those words from Perry Mayor Jim Worrall in regard to Houston County’s H 8489 plan summed up the feelings of many this week According to County Commission Chairman J. Sherrill Stafford, plans are now under way for a profes sional facilitator from the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the Univer sity of Georgia to sit down with city and county lead- Church The latest improvement at the campground is the new 12,000 sq. ft. cafeteria and fellowship hall which can seat up to 800 people for a meal, according to Hagan. During their week in Perry members of the church will keep a busy schedule, rising for a 7:30 a.m. sendee and then hold ing services at mid-morning and mid-afternoon, as well as in the evening. Many members, both male and. female, both ordained and laypersons will preach and lead group singing and worship ser vices. There are also youth services, and a daily chil dren’s program with crafts, music and Bible lessons. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., July 29. at All Saints Episcopal Church in Warner Robins with the Rev. Paul Gerlock and the Rev. John Buchanan officiating. Inter ment will follow at Parkway Memorial Gardens in Warn er robins. Mr. Cranshaw was a native of Atlanta. Walter Winchester Walter Winchester, 79, of Perry, died July 23. 1999. Services were held at McCullough Funeral Home in Warner Robins, with bur ial in Magnolia Park Ceme tery. Mr. Winchester was retired from Robins Air Force Base and was an army veteran of World War 11. He was a member of Masonic Tyrian Lodge F&AM #ll, Scottish Rite 32nd Degree, A 1 Sihah Shrine Temple, Moose Lodge and Moose Boat Club. He was a member of Second Baptist Church.
