This summer she served as a head lifeguard, guard ing, teaching swimming lessons and supervising the first year counselors at her pool. Being named a camp counselor is one of the most coveted honors in 4- H. Once selected, coun selors work hard during the six-week long summer camping program, teach ing crafts, recreation and other educational program. “Teaching classes is very rewarding." Etheridge said, "but being a positive role model for the youngsters at the camp is even more important. 1 hope that in some small way 1 might leave a lasting impression that will make a difference in their lives." Lindsey, a graduate of Perry High School, is a sophomore at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. During her freshman year, she was on the Dean's List and main tained a 4.0 grade point average. Set aside. Cut meat into thin sliv ers. In wok heat oil until hot. but not smoking. Add meat and fry, stirring quickly and frequently, until loses pink color. Remove to plate. In same wok fry onion and garlic over high heat for about a minute. Lower heat and add frozen vegeta bles to thaw. Return meat to wok, add fresh vegeta bles and stir until mixed. Add soy mixture and con tinue to stir until mixture is thick and clear and every thing is well-coated and heated thru. Serve over white rice. Serves 4-5. • •• Pound Puppy Report...
