Tiie Houston 'area Unitea Way
fund-raising campaign is officially under
way, with a goal of $560,000.
George Slappey of Security Bank in
Perry, who is serving as the 1999 campaign
chairman, introduced his "campaign cabi
net" at a luncheon at the Houston Lake
Country Club Sept 14.
The key volunteers for t lie campaign are
David Manning of Houston Medical Center;
Jimmy Faircloth of CB&T Bank; Mike
Brashear, Intergraph Corp.; Sheila Todd,
Bank of Perry; Lynda Saunders, Northrop
Grumman; Bill Craig Pickling & Company;

"loaned executives” to work full time on the
campaign. Ashley Minshew is representing

man - Perry.
The theme this year. “Changing Lives
here and Now," is all about Central Geor
gians coming together to help those in
need," Slappey said. “Houston/Peach area
citizens always rally to help make an
impact in the lives of others.”
