Stuckey ought to know. That's because Stuckey, a senior softball player has had four coaches in her four years at Perry High. In the past the Perry pro gram has struggled. But now, with Horsting in the midst of her first season at the Perry helm, the playoffs are a definite possibility looming in the future. Panthers mistakes. Perry enters the last week of regular play Vith a 15-5 record; 5-1 in the region with their only loss coming early season against West Laurens. “These girls are just really playing together well. It is really exciting. One of the great things for them is hearing comments in the hall, like good job, or nice win. It helps pump them up and get them ready for the next game,” Horsting said. Perry’s varsity is not only the team having a successful season. The JV won both their games last week giving them a 9-2 record and will finish their season this week. “I am really looking for ward to the next two years with this JV group. They just don’t give up, don't quit fighting. Some of the girls that weren’t hitting at the beginning are peaking now,” Horsting said. “Our game against Dodge will be a big night for us. We are hoping for a big crowd. Community support means a lot to us." The JV starts off at 4:30 Thursday evening at Rozar Park with the Varsity follows at 6:00. Senior night activi ties will be held between the two games.
