Special days set for 1999 Fair While every day is special during the 1999 Georgia National Fair, some days ofler extra opportu nities for entertainment or special prices for the Reithoffer midway. Opening Ceremony: Oct. 8, 4 p.m. WDEN FMIOS Stage. Keynote speaker for the event will be Georgia's Lt. Governor Mark Taylor. Georgia National Fair/Farm City Days Parade: Oct. 9, 10 a.m. Downtown Perry to North Gate of Fairgrounds. Georgia Lottery Day: Oct. 10. Redeem non win ning Georgia Lottery tickets at gate for $1 off adult admission only. Columbus Day: Oct. 11 Ride Special- Midway rides start at noon. One coupon off rides requiring at least two coupons from 3 p.m. till closing. People ages 18 and younger will be admitted free to fairgrounds from noon to 6 p.m. Active and Reserved military personnel are admitted free with ID cards, family members pay regular price. 13 WMAZ Unlimited Midway Rides: Oct. 12- 14:4 p.m.-10 p.m. Pay one price, sl2, and celebrate 103 years of Midway rides with the Reithoffer Family. Price does not include Fair gate admission. Houston Healthcare Senior Citizens Health Fair: Oct. 13, noon in the Reaves Arena.
