wgsgwm, Special Photo LINA ARNOLD Westfield Senior Arnold to represent area at U.S. Senate Youth Program Special to the Home Journal Lina Arnold, a senior at The Westfield Schools, has been chosen to compete in the United States Senate Youth Program. Arnold will represent the Bth congressional dis trict and will be among others from Georgia’s remaining congressional districts to be interviewed at the state level on Nov. 12. Arnold was selected from public and indepen dent schools within the Bth district trom her appli cation and for her perfor mance on a test given by the Georgia Department of Education. If she is selected on Nov. 12, Arnold will be one of two winners from the state who will receive an all expense paid trip to Wash ington, D.C. to participate in an internship program and a $2,000 scholarship. Arnold is the daughter of Tom and Debbie Arnold of Hawkinsville. Veteran’s day is Nov. 11. Not only is the poppy a representative of Flander’s Field, but the many other places where brave men have fought and died in battle. Penny Ingram.
