Many hands went up when she asked who had attended or had family members who had attended under any of the six names of the school. In her three years as president, the school has changed tremendously from one kind of school to a very different kind of school. In 1994 it became Georgia s public liberal arts universi ty serving not just the cen tral but the entire state. The school depends on a residential environment of close faculty/student inter action.
