J| r f J||; ~ LIT v jbyH ■ kk*s|s wP^^DniVv Mf Amy and Jonathan Fouse Amy Michelle Phelps exchanges vows with Jonathan Fouse Amy Michelle Phelps, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Phelps of Perry, became the bride of Jonathan Aaron Fouse, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Fouse of Macon, in a lovely can dlelight ceremony at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Perry on Oct. 9, 1999. The Rev. Leland Collins officiated. Music was provided by Margaret Watson, organist and pianist, and by vocalists Tal itha Pigford of Panama City, Florida, cousin of the groom, and Mandy Dix of Ocilla. Selections included “In This Very Room,", “Household of Faith," and “The Lord’s Prayer." The bride’s honorary grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bor ders of Perry, the bride's mother. Alice Phelps, and the groom’s parents, Ronnie and Judy Fouse, were escorted into the church sanctuary to the music of "Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.” The bride, who was given in marriage by her lather and mother, wore a gown of candlelight silk. The bodice of the gown was adorned with appliqued lace, crystal sequins and faux pearls, and the a-line, floor-length skirt was accented with matching appliques. The back of the gown featured silk roses at the waist and covered buttons for the full length of the dress and train. The bride’s fingertip-length veil was gathered to a headband of embroidered silk and pearls. She wore a single strand of pearls, given to her as a wedding gift by the groom, and carried a cascade of roses, stephanotis, lisianthus and freesia, which was centered with an orchid. Maids ol honor were Beth Doolittle of Newberry', South Carolina, and Christine Gilbert of Vienna, Virginia. Brides maids were Connie Bryan of Ocilla, Shannon Fouse of Hat tiesburg, Mississippi; Libby Hargrove ofTlfton, Carrie Whid den of Nashville and Alisha Wilson of Macon. The bridesmaids wore floor-length burgundy crepe gowns with straight skirts and short sleeves banded in satin. They carried arm bouquets of calla lilies, larkspur and roses on a le d of milky way leaves. Claire MeNeely of Macon, the flower girl, wore a white satin dress with leg-of-mutton sleeves gathered at the shoulder with pink and mauve silk flowers and ribbons. She earned a satin rose petal basket which matched her dress. The groom and groomsmen wore black tuxedos. The groom chose Michael Lyons of Macon as his best man. The groomsmen were brother of the groom, Kenneth Fouse of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; Rick Hilton, Jason MeNeely, Vern Ryle, Brian Taylor and Chris Weeks, all of Macon. The wedding was directed by Ann Lanter. The floral arrangements and bouquets were designed by Mary Las siter. Wedding programs were presented to guests by Brid get and Brittany Howard,of Albany, cousins of the bride. f ollowing the wedding, a reception was hosted by the bride’s parents in the church fellowship hall. Servers were Gay Chambless, Cindy Howard, Wanda Bragg, Shirley Burkes. Faye Martin and Lisa Bragg. Greeters were Alma Beckham and Emily Montgomery. Meredith Wilson kept the bride's book The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the New' Perry Hotel on the evening of Oct. 8. The two had served together in WWII when 8 million people were in uni form and losing 11,000 per day. They were with the Ist Marine Division that served on Guadalcanal, New Britain, Peliliu and on to Okinawa.
