MGT completes flawless accreditation evaluation
During the week of Sept. 13-16, Middle Georgia
Technical Institute hosted a five-person evaluation
team representing the Council on Occupational
Education (COE). This team was composed of educators
from Louisiana, Tennessee and Florida. They conducted a
six-year accreditation reaffirmation visit to verify that MGT
was operating according to COE standards.
Ten standards were reviewed with No Findings and No
Recommendations. This performance replicated the results
of the October 1993 evaluation when MQT achieved the
same results.
“Middle Georgia Tech has one of the best run facilities
I’ve seen in my twenty years of making these reviews,” stat
ed Mr. James Jansa, the Assistant Team Leader. The review
team commended the staff and faculty on their thorough
preparation for the review.
“I’m delighted although not surprised with these out
standing results,” stated President Billy Edenfield. “The
staff and faculty are to be commended for their dedication
and hard work. It's a team effort as we strive to better serve
the community and train the workforce of the 21st century'.”
