Pulaski center offers benefits of main MGT campus
Pulaski County residents now have a
unique opportunity to attend Middle
Georgia Tech classes without leaving their
county. MGT invites you to stop by the
Pulaski County Education Center, located
outside the gates of Hollingsworth and Vose
in Hawkinsville, and find out how they can
help you reach your education/training
goals.
A variety of education and training ser
vices are being offered including technical
certificate and diploma classes, adult litera
cy training, continuing education classes
and even customized business and industry
training. Katy Bentley, Director of the
Center, is anxious to show members of the
community how the center can help them.
“We can accommodate the training
needs of the individual and those of busi
nesses as well. If there is a particular class
or series of classes that you or your business
would like to see in Hawkinsville, just call
the Center and we can discuss the details of
making it happen. From a basic computer
class to OSHA safety classes, it doesn't
matter. We will do our best to accommodate
you and your business.” states Ms. Bentley.
The same financial assistance available
at Middle Georgia Tech is also available to
students attending the Center including the
HOPE Scholarship and the Pell Grant. “So
many people don't know that the HOPE
Grant pays tuition, all mandatory fees and
also includes a book allowance of up to
SIOO each quarter for Georgia residents
enrolled in a diploma or certificate program
at a technical school regardless of financial
need or prior grade point average” pointed
out Ms. Bentley. “There is no excuse not to
obtain the education or training you need
for a good job especially since it’s virtually
free.”
Ongoing computer classes are currently
being held at the Center including
