Lab class es at various points during the course will be held at a local dentist office so that hands-on experience may be obtained. These labs include chair side assisting and instrument transfer, alginate impressions, temporary fabrication, custom-try fabrication, x-ray procedures and infection control. Fee - $259 This course provides learning experiences through classroom work, laboratory, and sixteen (16) hours of on-the-job training at the Medical Center of Houston County. Fee includes liability insurance and CNA pin as well as CPR Upon successful completion, students are State Certified and qualify for entry-level employment at any state approved health care facility. Requirements include textbook, watch with second hand, stethoscope, and for dmcal a navyfotack skirt or pants, white top and white shoes. Students must maintain a 75% average on an written course work and complete eight (8) hours of clinical experience at a health care facility.
