MGT is offering FAA Airframe
and Powerplant Certification
courses, which include classroom
training, all required written tests
and the Oral and Practical
Examination for the A & P
License at the end of the course.
The classroom training and the
requited written tests are seven
days in length. The Oral and
Practical Exam will be adminis
tered by MGT’s Designated
Mechanic Examiner (DME).
Each course is limited to ten

Certified Customer Service
Specialist Program
Learn the skills you need to compete for entry level jobs in ser
vice, hospitality and retail industries. In CCSS, you will learn
modem ideas and approaches to customer service such as:

MGT marketing student receives SI,OOO Lowe’s scholarship
Lowe’s Companies, Inc., the
world’s second largest home
improvement retailer, and its Warner
Robins store recently presented
Gwendelvn Nicolas, a marketing
student at MGT, a SI,OOO scholar
ship. The scholarship program,
funded by Lowe’s Educational
Foundation, provides work opportu
nities for the Lowe’s Scholars who
could become permanent employees
in later years and future leaders of
the companv This year Lowe’s will
contribute up to $500,000 to stu
dents through this program.
With an accompanying job respon
sibility at the Lowe’s store, the schol
arship program targets students
enrolled in i discipline of study rep
resented b- Lowe’s stores and its
FAA A&P License
Possibly obtain college credit
for obtaining an FAA A&P
License. Embry-Riddle Aeronau
tical University, CCAF, Geoigia
Military College and others give
credit.
If tuition assistance is granted,
students will enroll and pay their
portion of the tuition, then file for
tuition assistance.
Authorizations for written tests
need to be obtained from the FAA
prior to Course start.

the number of quality applications we
received from area students,” said Jeff
Ballard, store manager. “Gwendelyn
demonstrated excellent academic and
leadership skills and was one of the
most well-rounded applicants we
reviewed."
Ms. Nicolas, a Warner Robins resi
dent, is in her second year at MGT. She
is specializing in marketing and retail
management and is an active member
of Delta Epsilon Chi (DEX). a student
organization that promotes manage
ment leadership and marketing skills.

American Heart Association
As the Community Training Center for the American Heart Association, Middle Geoigia Tech is respon
sible for coordinating and offering training and instructor certification for Advanced Cardiac Life Support
(ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and CPR Training. Classes are available at Middle
Georgia Tech or at locations designated by an organization. All classes meet OSHA requirements.
Currently there are 168 affiliated instructors and 17 satellite sites which have issued more than 6,000 cards
for ACLS, PAS and CPR. Cost of the classes is as follows:
• CPR/First Aid Training $45.00/person
• CPR Training $30.00/person
• First Aid Training $ 15.00/person
• CPR lastructor Training $85.00/person
