Today is Jan 5, 2000 and there have
not been any major catastrophes in the
world of computers or other technology
As we breath a sigh ol relief here are a
couple of more wishes for Perry in the
new year as continued from last week.

Michael Brown Jr. first baby to
arrive in 2000 at Perry Hospital

In came the new yeai and so did a brand
new bouncing baby boy Mir hael Brown Jr.,
son of Virginia Ogburn of Reynolds, and
Michael Brown S' of Marshallville, was the
first baby of the yeai 2000 first baby born in
Houston County.
The grand event occurred at 5:4i p.m.
Jan. 1. and according to the new mom,
Michael weighed in at ft pounds, 15 ounces
and is 19 1/2 inches long Michael Jr. is
Ogburn s her first baby
According to Sak ha Svoboda, maternity
nurse of the Family Beginnings unit of the
Houston Health Care Complev who assisted
in the delivery of the New Vr n s Baby, it was
a big day at tht hospital.
Michael held the spotlight and was soon
followed by the second baby horn in Hous
ton County, the unit assists "> about 280
deliveries per year.
Although the gift oi motherhood may have
