Hillis, Chambliss tours county public schools By Lanorris Fleming U.S. Representative Saxby Chambliss spent the day visiting Houston County schools Jan. 11. His plan was to tour an elementaiy school, a middle school and a high school. By visiting the schools Chambliss said he would get a first hand look at what is going on in the schools. He also had the chance to speak one on one with some of the students, teachers and other administrative staff. According to Chambliss seeing what is going on in Houston County schools gives him a good feeling about how the government is spending money for schools. He also commended the work at the Houston County Career and Technology Cen ter for allowing individuals to have a chance to receive and education that will allow them to gravitate away from the welfare system and back into the work force.
