America as a whole and
Georgia in particular is blessed
with the best medical care
mankind has ever experienced.
We should strive to make this
care available to everyone,
instead of forcing patients to
settle for second best.
This is an issue that won't
go away anytime soon. This
year, the Georgia General
Assembly will again consider
numerous measures designed
to expand the scope of psychol
ogists. nurses, medical assis
tants and optometrists. When
ever health care is the issue the
focus should be on the patient
and the only real question
should be: Is it good medicine?

nounced more simply than
it’s spelled: Sha-von, with
the emphasis on the second
syllable.
Siobhan Beasley, who
was given the name by her
dad, is philosophical about
all the different ways it gets
misspelled. She says she
really enjoyed the television
series “Ryan's Hope" when
she was in college, because
of the girl on that show who
was named Siobhan and
had to spell it over and over
for other people.
She has an easily spelled
and pronounced first name,
by the way, but she doesn’t
want it made public,
because now. when anybody
calls and asks for her by
that name, she knows it has
to be a telemarketer.
