Linda Johpson’s daughters
Sealy and Sandy came up with a
very unique idea to make their
mother’s 60th birthday the best
one ever. They knew it would
mean alot to Linda to hear from
the people who mean the most to
her with cards of personal and
warm wishes. On August 13th
they presented her with that sur
prise which met their expecta

Birthday luncheon fetes Nina Harper at 92
By Joan Dorsett
Lifestyles Writer
When Autumn Terrace resi
dent Nina Harper broke up
housekeeping a couple of years
ago, she lovingly shared her trea
sures with family members. Her
grandniece Nancy Shelton
McLendon fell heir to Nina’s set
of floral china which she and
Smokey had collected with cigar
bands during the war, the china
with which they began house
keeping.
What better way to thought
fully celebrate her great aunt’s
92nd birthday than to serve a
luncheon at her Inverness Drive
home for Nina and her friends on
the well-kept china. Nancy’s
menu included white cheddar
soup, baked chicken squares with
mushroom sauce, marinated as
paragus, peach halves topped
with cranberry relish, cheese
muffins which “make your
tongue jump up and part your
hair!” Nancy’s expression for
something really super. She
shared the recipe and her dessert
recipe.
