Activities boost efforts to aid a local liver transplant candidate
From Staff Reports
Efforts are underway to aid
a Warner Robins woman who
needs a liver transplant.
Volunteers with the National
Foundation for Transplants
campaign for Joyce Hall will
be selling cookbooks and spe

at a table in the Food Court
of the Galleria Mall from 6 to
9 p.m. each evening until
Christmas.
“Recipes for Life.“ the
cookbook, contains recipes
from the friends and families
of transplant patients nation
wide who have been helped
by the National Foundation
for Transplants. The bears,
specially designed by “Holy
Bears, Inc.,” are 6-inch
brown and white stuffed
bears that promote the Gift
of Life.
All proceeds from the sales
will support the NFT cam
paign for Hall, who is a can
didate to receive a liver
transplant at Emory
University in Atlanta.
Soon, the school children of
Houston County also will be
joining in the campaign. A
‘“Save-A-Penny, Save-A-
Life” program to raise aware
ness about organ donation
and about Hall’s needs will
take place in the county ele
mentary schools beginning in
January.
Hall needs an estimated
$50,000 to cover out-of-pock
